How did you get started?

My journey started in 2012. I had struggled a lot with depression which led to a lot of binge eating. Having gained a lot of weight made me go the gym. Being regular was a task but I managed and saw changes in myself as exercise and a strict diet helped me lose a lot and gain my confidence.

Where does your motivation come from?

My motivation is my transformation I’ve had and the changes I see in myself now.

How do you feel your flexibility helps you both in and out of the gym?

Being flexible helps me during my HIIT trainings. Post trainings the body pains a lot less. Plus being flexible and agile helps in my day to day activities and helps me to be active all day.

What workout routine has worked best for you?

Initially it used to be a mix of cardio and body weight exercises, but I have gradually moved to more heavy weights with HIIT exercises, I’ve seen more changes in my body. So now I do 4 days of weights with HIIT and 2 days of cardio with abs exercises.

If you had to pick only 3 exercises what would they be and why?

Squat, Deadlifts and chin ups.

For simple reason –bigger booty, stronger back and big biceps to kick ass every day!

What is your diet like?

I usually have 6 meals a day. For breakfast I have 4 boiled eggs and oats or oats in soya milk with peanut butter smoothie. 2 hours later I have a bowl of fruits. For lunch, I have a Roti with a big bowl of Dal and veggies. In evening I have Poha or Protein Shake. My dinner is usually pretty early by 7.30 which includes Grilled Chicken or Tofu with veggie salad. I have 4- 5 litres of water each day. And I take green tea twice a day. Before my workouts I have pre workout or an apple depending upon the time of the day and a protein shake post workout.

What’s the one food you couldn’t live without, and how do you handle food cravings?

Grilled Chicken. I have one cheat meal per week to handle food cravings which is mostly Rajma Chawal.

What’s something not many people know about you?

I might occasionally ditch people just so that I can go to gym and give time to myself.
