How did you get started?


I used to play hockey professionally and some dance on the side. While attending dance class, I used to sit out the yoga studio wanting for the class to end. I used to see the students in the yoga class doing asanas that were so graceful yet powerful. I skipped dance that day and decided to attend a yoga class instead. That was the start of my lifelong relationship with yoga.



Where does your motivation come from?

It comes from within. Yoga is never all about reaching an end destination like being able to do an asana, but it is the journey of getting to the asana.


How do you feel your flexibility helps you both in and out of the gym?

Its one of the best things that happened to me. I can be comfortable in any situation. I can now cross my legs on my office chair or comfortable sit into an airplane chair. I love stretching everywhere I go.



What workout routine has worked best for you?

Loads of yoga, moderate running and swimming.


If you had to pick only 3 exercises what would they be and why?

Yoga, running and swimming.



What is your diet like?

I eat alot of spinach, chickpeas, mushrooms and once in a while a baked salmon.


What’s the one food you couldn’t live without, and how do you handle food cravings?

Coffee/Tea. I’m still learning to handle cravings by having healthier alternatives.



What’s something not many people know about you?

I’m a semi-pro photographer, I love taking photos of children, animals and scenery.
