Age : 23
Height : 5’4
How did you get started?
I was raised in an army family and thus physical fitness was always given a lot of importance in our culture. Throughout my childhood I was an active child taking part in athletic events. These childhood activities soon turned into a passion for basketball and I use to play for the school and college team. Upon leaving school I witnessed my best friend Sirhud Kalra, transform his body with the help of weight training. I was impressed by his transformation and thus got introduced to weight training through him.
Where does your motivation come from?
One of my best friends in school I mentioned before was extremely skinny and short. Then he became extremely big and buff.. as I came to know him better I realized that he had been weight training for quite some time which made him fitter. His passion for the sport, his winning personality in it’s purest form and the fact that he approaches every situation with the expectation that he would get what he want both in and out of the gym is what motivates me. Taught me the basics of weight training and nutrition.
How do you feel your flexibility helps you both in and out of the gym?
Honestly I’m not that flexible and I’m trying to work on that by trying to incorporate basic stretches and yoga at least twice a week.
What workout routine has worked best for you?
A routine where I go to the gym at least 4 times a week and divide my weight training into 2 upper and lower body workouts alternatively. This helps me hit my full body twice a week and still give me enough time to recover.
If you had to pick only 3 exercises what would they be and why?
Squats – who doesn’t want like a good strong booty? Deadlifts – for a strong chiseled back Push up/pull ups – they’re good measures for developing overall upper body strength
What is your diet like?
I have never dieted in my life or tried to follow any special diet. My friend Sirhud taught me flexible dieting which allows me to enjoy my favorite junk foods as and when I like while still consuming an overall wholesome and healthy diet.
What’s the one food you couldn’t live without, and how do you handle food cravings?
I handle my cravings my giving into them (lol) and make sure I sweat I sweat a little extra in the gym.
What’s something not many people know about you?
What makes you think Im going to tell you that right now?! (wink)
JUST DO IT
